Betty White, the veteran actress of ‘The Golden Girls’, passed away on December 31, seventeen days before turning a century of life.
When the news of his death was announced, the official cause was not confirmed, which contributed in large part to the fact that, since then, rumors have emerged that claimed that his delicate health had finished deteriorating due to an adverse reaction to a dose of booster vaccine against Covid-19.
Now, in statements to the Entertainment Tonight portal, Jeff Witjas, who began working with her almost 20 years ago, wanted to disprove that theory to clarify that Betty did not die for any reason related to the coronavirus.
“I know for a fact that a backup was not involved at all in Betty’s passing. That seems to be the story out there, and it just isn’t true. Betty died of natural causes ”, he assured.
In addition, he noted that the actress had been “well cared for” by people who were extremely careful with their vaccinations.
“I was 99 years old, unfortunately. But there was no disease. Betty was a wholesome, healthy lady, and to everyone who’s trying to start a political conversation around vaccines using Betty White, I’m just saying, ‘don’t do it. It’s not true, ‘”he said.
His employee and friend revealed that Betty spent the last two years confined in his house, although she did receive visits from friends like him to organize table game tournaments because she continued to have the same agility as always until the last moment.
Similarly, Jeff expressed concern that people may be deterred by false reports.
“If people really believe that Betty passed away due to a COVID injection, a booster, they are not going to go looking for it. Today you can attribute anything to anyone and make it happen. But I don’t want them to do that to Betty. Unless it’s true. But in this case it is not true ”, he said.
Finally, he announced that the funeral will probably be a private event attended by only those closest to Betty.
“I’m not involved in that part, but she never sat with me and said, ‘Jeff, when it happens, this is what I want.’ We talked, we touched on the subject from time to time, but to be honest, I couldn’t wait for it to happen. I’m sure he had certain wishes, but they are probably private, “he concluded.
Betty White mentioned to People that she was preparing to celebrate her 100th birthday on January 17, saying that her longevity was the result of good health, good fortune and love for her job.
“I am very fortunate to be in such good health and feel so good at this age. It’s amazing that I’m still in this business. It’s amazing that you can stay in a race so long and that people tolerate you. I wish they did it at home ”, she joked with that sense of humor that characterized her in her more than 60 years of experience and that she reflected in iconic roles.
