COVID: Despite an upturn in cases, Jalisco remains on a green traffic light

Despite the current increase in COVID-19 infections, Jalisco will continue in green at the epidemic risk traffic light of the Federal Health Secretariat, which will be in force until January 23.

Since the first week of November the state remains green, according to federal criteria; The last time it reached red was in the fortnight from August 9 to 22, when there were up to 1,880 infections in one day.

The number of cases confirmed by the Jalisco Radar system quadrupled in the first days of the year, from 447 reported on January 1, they went to 1,400 in the aye reportr. The trend is reflected in the federal platform, which reports 4,432 people who have presented symptoms of the disease in the last two weeks; that’s the highest number since September of last year.

In terms of deaths, this Friday five more deaths were confirmed; There are 27 deaths reported so far this year and 17,659 victims of the virus since the health contingency began.

The current levels of hospitalized is one of the indicators in green, 180 patients are reported in public hospitals, which represents an occupation of 14.36% of the 1,253 beds enabled.
