The Jalisco Radar system notified this Saturday 1,812 more infections of COVID-19, they are three hundred more positive than in the report on Friday; for the fourth consecutive day the barrier of one thousand infections is exceeded. So far in the pandemic, the maximum number of cases reported in one day was 2,148, on January 22, 2021.
In the first epidemiological week of the year (from January 2 to 8), 7,105 infections were accumulated in the entity.
According to projections from the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) at the University of Washington, the maximum peak of cases would arrive around January 27. Specialists from the Situation Room of the University of Guadalajara calculated that the current wave will exceed the maximum number of cases registered in the previous ones.
Since August 28 of last year, the current levels of infections were not registered.
