COVID in Jalisco: Request for vaccination certificate for recreational events confirmed

Starting next January 14 in Jalisco, the vaccination certificate or negative COVID-19 test will be requested for some recreational events where agglomerations are concentrated.

This was announced this Monday by the state governor at a press conference after the meeting held by the State Health Board to analyze new measures before the arrival of the fourth wave of virus infections.

Casinos, bars and clubs, stadiums, concerts, event rooms, convention centers, and any type of massive event, are the sites and events where the document will be required issued by the federation after completing the vaccination schedule.

The certificate, said the state governor, It will be valid with the verification of a single dose, although vaccination records or the vaccination certificate issued in the United States will also be accepted.

In the case of people who have not been vaccinated “because they do not want to be vaccinated”, they must present a negative PCR test with no more than 48 hours of having applied it to be able to attend the event.

As soon as the return to school, the governor announced that the return to face-to-face classes will take place in a staggered scheme.

The foregoing, he said, because there was also an increase in infections in the group of minors, although it is the lowest of all age sectors.

Currently, he said, there are 7,906 active cases of the virus, similar to the cases registered in the previous contagion waves, registered in September and February 2021.
