COVID: They confirm in Jalisco 79 new cases every hour

In the last 24 hours, the Jalisco Health Secretariat (SSJ) reported 1,898 new cases of COVID-19, which represents that on average 79 infections were reported every 60 minutes.

With this figure, there are already 9,441 infections since the beginning of the year, to give a cumulative of 411 thousand 244 infections since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic in March 2020. Yesterday Saturday was they registered 1,812 infections.

In addition, this Sunday the state agency indicated that they reported three new associated deaths to the virus, adding a total of 17 thousand 667 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic in the State.

For its part, the federal Ministry of Health reported that they have in Jalisco there are at least five thousand 583 active cases, that is, people who have had symptoms in the last 14 days.

Six hospitals in Jalisco, with 100% occupancy

So far there are six hospitals with the 100% occupancy of beds destined for the care of patients with COVID-19 and three more with percentages between the 50 and 61% Of occupation.

The hospitals with total occupancy reported by the Federation are the Regional Military Hospital of Guadalajara de la Sedena, the General Hospital of Zone 42 of Puerto Vallarta, the 46 of Guadalajara, the Family Medical Unit 6 of Ocotlán, the Hospital of Oblate Specialties of the IMSS and the Hospital General de Occidente of the Jalisco Health Secretariat.

Given the rise in infections in recent days, driven by the omicron variant, this Monday the State Health Board will meet to determine whether new restrictions will be required to prevent cases from continuing to increase, in addition to analyzing whether face-to-face classes for the state education system will be postponed or if they will remain in place until next January 17.
