The quarantine is over: Messi recovered from COVID-19 and embarked on his route to France

According to specialized Argentine media PSG winger Lionel Messi is now free from COVID-19 so he started his trip to France Tuesday night to join the rally with his club after the New Year’s Eve parties.

Messi arrived at Rosario international airport accompanied by his wife Antonela and their three children: Thiago, Mateo and Ciro to board a direct private flight to Paris.

The Argentine was in quarantine since last December 28 and, based on recommendations, PCR tests were carried out to rule out the virus until finally on Tuesday he obtained the necessary negative to be able to leave Argentina and enter France.

Upon arrival in France Messi will have to pass routine medical check-ups to know his state of health after suffering from COVID-19 and thus joining the Parisian team training.

Although the star would arrive in France on Wednesday unlikely to see action next Sunday when his team visits Olympique Lyon for matchday 20 of Ligue 1; however, we will have to wait and see what the technician decides Mauricio Pochettino.

Besides Messi, other players are in COVID-19 protocols: Juan Bernat, Sergio Rico and Nathan Bitumazala; the three will be joined by the archer Donnarumma who tested positive early this Tuesday.

With the arrival of the number 30, PSG will start planning their upcoming commitments for the next 30 days starting with the aforementioned match against Lyon, Stade Brestois -where Messi could be back-, Reims, Nice -for the French Cup-, Lille, Rennes and finally the Champions League round of 16 match against Real Madrid.
