In the first days of 2022, COVID-19 infections almost quadrupled in Jalisco.
On January 1, the state Health Secretariat notified 447 in one day. However, 1,400 new cases were documented yesterday. The number hadn’t been that high since September 16, 2021, when 1,456 were reported.
Yesterday, the State Government announced that it will advance the meeting of the Board of Health. It was scheduled for January 14, but it will be held on the 10th.
It was also indicated that the return to face-to-face classes, on January 17, will continue.
Regarding the first decision, the governor said that they will anticipate a growth of the problem. Regarding the return to the classrooms, he commented that in the schools “you can take better care of health measures.”
