6-year-old boy killed in Illinois was found naked, with partially frozen organs

Damari’s body was found near an abandoned house, North Chicago police noted. The coroner said the FBI reported the discovery to his office before 5 a.m. Saturday.

According to authorities, the victim’s mother and 20-year-old brother reported him missing on January 5 and said he was last seen in Skokie, Illinois.

Quoting statements from the police, NBC Chicago reported that family members They initially claimed the victim’s 16-year-old sister took him to a party in Skokie and then passed out after drinking only to find him missing.

Lake County State Attorney Eric Rinehart said in a statement that story was “completely false ”. As a result, the mother and brother also face obstruction of justice charges, he said.

Investigators’ interviews with family members, including children, eventually led them to Gary, the prosecutor’s office said.

The victim’s mother was taken to a hospital on Saturday after complaining that she was ill. No additional details about his illness were provided.

The authorities indicated that the woman remained in police custody during his hospitalization, but a scheduled court appearance on bail was postponed.
