COVID: Tokens for free tests are finished as soon as the module opens in Zapopan


As of before 6:00 in the morning, dozens of people were already in line to obtain a token in order to take a free COVID-19 test, according to personnel from the application module located at the Line 3 station. , Zapopan Centro.

The tokens distributed in this application center, which is part of the Jalisco Radar Network, begin to be distributed from 9:00 a.m., according to the number of tests available for each day, ranging between 50 and 100 daily tests.

However, according to what was commented on the site, due to the demand that these have had and that people wait from an early hour, the 50 chips distributed today were finished as soon as the module was opened, and this is commonly the case every day.

This is one of the two mobile rapid test modules established by the Jalisco Health system, in order to expand the detection and sampling capacity of COVID-19 cases.

The other module will be mounted on an itinerant basis in the municipal capitals of Guadalajara, Zapopan and Tlaquepaque, as the state government announced yesterday, in order to sample the cases in those municipalities.

For this reason, It will only be informed each day at an early hour where the application point will be located. People will be able to know their location through the social networks of the Jalisco Health Secretariat.

Guadalajara adds test modules in its Cruz Verde units

The Guadalajara City Council reported that, in conjunction with state strategies, it had two modules for the application of rapid tests and PCR for detection of COVID-19 in the Cruz Verde Dr. Jesús Delgadillo Araujo and Dr. Leonardo Oliva units.

The application will start from tomorrow, Thursday, January 13, with a hours of operation from Monday to Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.; however, only people who come with a folio and an appointment will be attended.

The appointment can be requested at the telephone numbers of the Jalisco Health Secretariat, 33-3823-3220, and of the University of Guadalajara, 33-3540-3001.

The location of the modules is as follows:

  • Module 1. Park located on Mariano Bárcenas street, next to the Michin Aquarium, in front of the Dr. Jesús Delgadillo Araujo green cross.
  • Module 2. Cruz Verde Emergency Medical Unit Dr. Leonardo Oliva, in Av. Cruz del Sur # 2592, Colonia Jardines de la Cruz.
