Diamond Álvarez, 15, was shot 22 times in the back while walking his dog on a Houston street; crime suspects have not yet been arrested

To a 15-year-old Hispanic teenager He was shot 22 times while walking his dog through a neighborhood southwest of Houston, Texas, Tuesday night.

The shooting happened at about 9:30 pm in the 15400 block of Park Manor.

The Click 2 Houston report indicates that when officers arrived at the scene, they found Diamond Álvarez with multiple gunshot wounds. The young woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators in the case reported that the victim was with her pet Peanut when relatives heard gunshots in the area.

Anna Machado, the child’s mother, told authorities that she called her daughter, but received no response. When the woman and her husband, the girl’s stepfather, went out to look for her, they realized that the dog was outside the house.

It was there that they learned that something bad had happened.

The couple toured the neighborhood until they found the dying teenager on the ground a few blocks from the family home.

I tried CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation). I couldn’t bring her back. I tried so hard to keep her alive, ”Machado recalled.

The stepfather called cowards those who shot the minor.

“Whoever shot this girl 22 times in the back, they are cowards,” said Tito Moczygemba.

The hispanic I was a Madison High School student, and she planned to pursue cosmetology once she graduated.

At the moment, there are no arrests in connection with the case. But police said a dark vehicle spotted heading north through Markwood could be involved in the incident.
