Peruvian soccer experienced a historic day after a well-known bookmaker will reach a sponsorship agreement with the eternal rivals Alianza Lima and Universitario to be the official sponsor that will appear on the front of the shirts from next season.

As announced by Alianza Lima through its social networks, the PJ Corporation, a company that owns several brands, including a bookmaker, he paid a significant sum of money to secure the space in the team jersey until 2026.

“Alianza Lima not only demonstrates its leadership with the 2021 national championship, but also in the commercial field, achieving seal an agreement that marks a milestone in the local sports industry, as it recognizes the growing value of the brand and takes it to a threshold that is unprecedented in economic terms in Peruvian soccer. We welcome our new ally for joining the largest team in Peru”, said Miguel Pons, general manager of Alianza Lima.

The company that also signed a similar agreement with Universitario, will disburse approximately $2 million dollars per season for each team, which means that the contract between both sports entities will have a value of $20 million dollars, a figure that makes it the largest sponsorship agreement in the history of Peruvian soccer.

The PJ Corporation owns the online bookmaker Apuesta Total, that recently made its foray into soccer in Peru, just as other companies in the same sector had done, which have also appeared on the front of the shirts or even in the name of the league.
